"Important notice about how to provide visa services"
The Consular Section of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Canberra will implement the following procedure from November 6, 2023, in order to optimize the provision of visa issuance services to respected applicants:
1- The length of stay of normal tourist visas will be 45 days. The normal visa issuance time is at least 20 working days after receiving the documents at the embassy.
2- The duration of stay of tourist visas will be 90 days. In this case, it is emphasized; Applications for normal 90-day tourist visas cannot be reviewed. The time of issuing emergency visas is maximum 48 hours after receiving the documents at the embassy.
3- Entry visas, relatives, family and medical visas will be issued according to the previous procedure that is stated on the embassy's virtual page.
4- Pilgrimage visas will be issued only in the form of authorized pilgrimage caravans and in a limited form, and individual requests will not be reviewed.
Documents sent to the embassy to obtain visas:
1- Cash payment order (Money Order).
2- A printed copy of the visa application
3- Travel insurance (as long as travel insurance is registered in the system, there is no need to send a picture of it).
4- Passport image and father's permission to issue visas for children under 18 years of age (if possible, upload them to the system and refrain from sending them unless it is not possible to upload them).
In addition, according to the announcement of international authorities indicating that the epidemic of Covid-19 has been resolved, there is no need to send a certificate of not being infected with it.
